Building the Bullet Proof Manager®
The Bullet Proof® Manager is an innovative development program for managers and supervisors, combining live and video instruction, hands on exercises, practical implementation, and follow up. It emphasizes involvement, participation and team work and represents a complete departure from traditional training methodologies. Perhaps the most impressive thing about the training is that it works with all sizes of organizations … from major multi-national giants to small local organizations. Participants in Bullet
Proof® Manager
training attend a monthly
session for twelve
consecutive months. Each
session lasts approximately
four hours and concentrates
on two specific management
skills. The training begins
with a thirty-minute video
featuring a leading
authority on the first of
the two featured management
skills. The video is
followed by approximately
one hour of practicing,
drilling, and role-playing
the skill. This is followed
by a second half-hour video
and an additional hour of
practice, drill and role
play.
The monthly sessions involve "situational studies" and group and individual exercises which are designed to insure the participants' grasp of the material. Participants have an opportunity to exchange ideas with managers from other organizations … managers who come from different backgrounds … managers who have different experiences. At the completion of the training, participating managers will have spent forty-eight hours in a structured learning environment.
There is an axiom which says, "One who teaches another learns twice." So, Crestcom's Bullet Proof® Manager training is structured to insure that participating managers learn the material personally … and, that they also learn how to teach the material to the rest of their team when they return to their own organization.
To enhance this process, a portion of each monthly session concentrates on teaching participants how to train others within their own organization using the videos and written materials as training aids.
