Thirty years as
a successful corporate executive and
entrepreneur have given John Hersey a unique
perspective on human relationships,
leadership, motivation and change.
By the age
of 28, he was vice president of marketing
for a $1 billion bank. By age 34, he was
senior vice president for one of the top
advertising agencies in the United States,
managing more than $30 million in accounts
in diverse industries. He co-founded The
Hersey Custom Shoe Company, rated by Runners
World magazine as offering the best new shoe
of 1982 and 1983. He also founded an
international distribution company and
spearheaded the launch of a publicly traded
telecommunications company
John
Hersey’s diverse background of business
experience – and success – finally
encouraged him to begin sharing his secrets
with others as a popular speaker and
consultant. He is also the author or the
groundbreaking book Creating Contagious
Leadership, as well as a popular newspaper
columnist.
During my career with IBM, AT&T and
DSI, I have had the opportunity to
watch dozens of well-known,
top-flight speakers in action. I
must admit, however, that I have not
seen a higher impact performance on
an audience than John Hersey’s.”
